Architecture, equipment selection, interface considerations, upgrade sequencing, and budget-conscious decision support.
Before work beginsConfidence in every system.Practical, independent guidance for aircraft owners and operators—from upgrade planning and installation support to troubleshooting and pre-purchase evaluation.
Recommendations are built around the aircraft, mission, budget, and long-term ownership plan—not a one-size-fits-all equipment list.
Architecture, equipment selection, interface considerations, upgrade sequencing, and budget-conscious decision support.
Before work beginsIndependent technical guidance before and during an avionics project, helping owners communicate clearly with their shop.
Through the projectMethodical help isolating system and integration issues, with a practical focus on reducing guesswork and repeat visits.
When issues ariseThe process and depth of review scale to the airplane—from owner-flown piston aircraft to complex business-aircraft systems.
Clear, practical guidance for owners planning upgrades, evaluating an aircraft, or working through an avionics concern.
Focused consulting for more complex platforms, system integrations, project coordination, and acquisition decisions.
Every engagement starts by defining what matters, then turns technical detail into an actionable recommendation.
Aircraft, operation, pain points, timeline, and priorities come first.
Existing equipment, interfaces, documentation, options, and constraints are examined.
You receive practical guidance designed to support a confident next move.
My avionics career began in the United States Marine Corps, where I served for seven years as an AV-8B Harrier avionics technician. My experience extended beyond avionics: I was also cross-trained to perform high-power engine runs on the Harrier, giving me a broader, hands-on understanding of the aircraft and its systems.
After leaving the Marine Corps, I moved into the private sector, where I now have more than 11 years of industry experience across general and business aviation. I started fresh—learning new avionics platforms, practices, and technologies through hands-on experience with systems from leading manufacturers. That progression shaped the practical, systems-focused approach behind MAC Avionics Consulting.
I also earned my pilot certificate so I could understand avionics from both sides of the panel. I know how these systems should operate from an installation and maintenance perspective, but I also understand why their reliability, clarity, and usability matter to the pilots and crews who depend on them.
That combined technical and operational perspective helps me look beyond a standard replacement and find practical, creative solutions when the situation calls for one.
